Hello, my name is Wenjie Miao.
I came to the UK in 2001, when I was sixteen years old. I was determined to learn and study and become the best in my field of work. In 2005 I graduated from Portsmouth University with a degree in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science and then I went to the University of Warwick where I gained my MSc.
I spend much of my time sourcing the right software for people in the UK and China, and then translating and adapting it to their specific needs, and I work in Mandarin as well as English.
I met Mel Croucher when I was still a student and he was involved with “talent spotting” at Portsmouth University. He had visited my birthplace, Nanjing, the year I was born, and we got talking. He said, “I don’t know what you’ve got, but you’ve got it by the bucketful, and one day we’re going to use it.” I’m still not sure what he was on about, but I think it involves his plans for world domination.
